this is a product of natural beauty, durability besides being affordable,
environmental friendly and can easily be maintained. With a wide variety of
styles and selections, wooden floors are also seen in the interiors of many
commercial areas and offices. For wood flooring, there are various factors
to consider like the several species, colors and grain variations. It is

Types of Wood Floors
Solid Hardwood Floor: This is solid constructed floor made of
hardwood. Solid hardwood flooring come in a wide range of styles and
dimensions, with each plank made of solid wood and milled from a single
piece of timber.
Solid Hardwood Flooring
Engineered Wood Floor: Engineered wood flooring is made of two or
more layers of wood in the form of a plank. The wood grain alternate in
opposite directions giving this product more stability. The top layer is the
wood that is visible the installation is done. This product comes in various
ply's ( layers), most being 3-5 ply.
Wooden Engineered Floor
Acrylic Impregnated Wood Floor: Here a real wood veneer or the wood
grain is injected with an acrylic material or liquid acrylic and then
hardened using a special process. This type of wood is very durable and
hence suitable for applications in high traffic areas like kitchen,
restaurants and malls etc.
Wood Floors Styles
Strip: Strip Wood flooring has a linear effect and a groove
construction. Available in 1-1/2", 2 1/4", or 3 1/4" thick,
they can be solid or engineered, unfinished or prefinished. This type of
style gives the illusion of a larger and more open space.
Plank:
Plank hardwood flooring is linear, and has more width, starting from 3"
to 8". There are wider planks as well that can be 12-14" wide .
Like strip, they can solid or engineered, unfinished or prefinished.
Parquet:
This style represents a series of wood pieces joined together in such a
manner that they create a geometric pattern on the floor. The pattern often
repeat in the piece from 5/16" (glue down) up to 3/4" (nail &
glue down).
